What are you involved in at CA?
I am a head of house in the boarding community, co-head of SEAS (the Southeast Asian affinity group), and a head tour guide. Also, I love ceramics and being a part of the track and field team!
What is your favorite activity at CA and why?
My favorite activity at CA is Community Weekends. I love that those weekends are jam-packed with lots to do. These weekends include bingo, Spikeball tournaments, food trucks, music, and more fun!
Why did you choose CA?
I chose CA because my brother Theo ’18 showed me that CA is a place to take on many opportunities that lead to a successful future. Was I hesitant at first to apply? Yes, because the thought of being away from my family for a long period of time scared me, but I do not regret anything. CA has truly brought me so many opportunities that I wouldn’t have gotten from a high school in my hometown, Chicago.
What is your favorite boarding memory or tradition?
My favorite has to be house competitions organized by the Boarding Council. Whether donut-eating competitions or dodgeball, they are so much fun and are a great way to bond with the rest of the boarding community.
Share a moment when you knew you belonged at CA.
A moment I knew I belonged was when I first set foot in my new boarding house, Admadjaja. I was greeted by the coolest, most welcoming head of house on campus. His name was Josh, and he made me feel so at home right away and would frequently check on me to make sure I was all right. He gave a very good first impression of what the community members were like at CA, which reassured me about any concerns I had at the time.
