What are you involved in at CA?
At CA, I chair the All-School Council through my position as student head of school. I am a co-head of Umoja (the Black affinity group) and MSA (the Muslim student affinity group). I am the Editor-In-Chief of the yearbook. During the spring athletic season, I am also a member of the track team.

What is your favorite activity at CA and why?
My favorite activity at CA is talking to our faculty. CA has some of the most interesting, caring faculty members I’ve met thus far. Some of the best conversations I’ve had come from talking to my teachers outside of the classroom. They all have interesting stories and backgrounds, and they are always willing to share.

Why did you choose CA?
I chose CA because of the community. When I was applying, it was heavily emphasized that our community is what makes CA unique, and after attending, I 100% agree with that statement. Our community is filled with diverse thinkers who are some of the nicest and most welcoming people I’ve ever met. Our community has so many unique traditions that really make this place special to be a part of.

What is your favorite boarding memory or tradition?

Every Saturday night, the house faculty on duty makes a home-cooked meal for the boarding house, called house food. These evenings are among my favorites, as they are filled with laughter, storytelling, and the joy of bonding over a warm meal. Some of my fondest memories come from these special nights spent with my entire house.

Advice to prospective students?
Don’t be afraid to tell your story. Everyone comes from different backgrounds and upbringings, so don’t be afraid to share your unique lived experience, as it’s most authentic to you.
