Concord Academy, an independent college preparatory school for grades 9 through 12 located in Concord, Massachusetts, French teaching position in its Modern and Classical Language Department beginning in the fall of 2017. Chartered in 1922, the School currently enrolls approximately 368 boarding and day students from ten countries and territories and fifteen states.

The School seeks to appoint an outstanding teacher in support of a strong and well-established French program. The successful candidate will be an accomplished teacher of French and an innovative educator with excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrated organizational ability, and a passion and enthusiasm for working with adolescents and supporting them in acquiring and achieving a high level of proficiency in French. In addition to having an advanced degree and three or more years of teaching at the secondary or undergraduate level, preferred qualifications include a record of making French an accessible language to the full range of students and experience using established and emergent technology resources. 2017-18 teaching responsibilities will be commensurate with the School’s needs and the successful candidate’s experience. Other opportunities may be available depending on the successful candidate’s interests and the School’s needs.

On-campus housing may be available, but it is limited, and faculty members are not required to live at the School.
This is a one-year appointment, with the opportunity for renewal after 2018-19.
