Fairs, Receptions, and School Visits
As we seek to attract students from geographically diverse regions of the United States and world, CA’s admissions counselors will travel off-campus extensively in the fall. In addition to conducting a small number of off-campus interviews, we also attend fairs, host receptions and visit schools.
Fairs
School fairs provide students with an opportunity to meet an admissions representative, pick up some literature about Concord Academy, get on our mailing list, and ask questions about CA. Not comfortable asking specific questions about Concord or approaching a stranger? Leave the talking to us! Simply stop by a fair table and introduce yourself. You’ll be surprised how easily the conversation will flow.
Receptions
During the fall, the Admissions Office hosts several off-campus receptions to which area families are invited. A typical reception will introduce families to Concord Academy’s programs and its people. While we have not yet confirmed the dates and locations for receptions in 2008-09, please continue to check this Web site for more specific information about one or all of these events.
School Visits
In addition to fairs and receptions, we also travel to local and distant schools to learn more about the communities from which our applicants come. During these school visits, we meet teachers, tour campuses, and ask questions about school curriculum and philosophy. Most importantly, however, we love chatting formally and informally with prospective students in their native learning communities.
